I’ve never experienced one myself, but I imagine someone who does knows what has happened. A quick Google search led me epilepsy.com where they explain that someone is typically diagnosed as having epilepsy, a neurological condition which affects the nervous system, after experiencing two seizures not caused by another medical condition. Strangely enough, 60% of epileptic cases are brought on by unknown causes.
