If your yogurt tastes odd, first consider the flavor. Are you eating yogurt by Tang? If not, throw it away!

Earlier this month, Chobani issued a voluntary recall on a batch of yogurt customers had complained were expanding in their packaging and tasted “tangy” — their words, not mine. The reason for the recall was the discovery of a non-foodborne mold, mucor circinelloides, introduced at a facility in Idaho. Thankfully, research at Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences proved that the strand would not pose a health risk to consumers.
